Details: Veryanov lived and worked in Peru for over 20 years (his card is here), in 2019 he came to Russia to care for a close relative, and, as he himself put it, “got stuck” – first the pandemic, then the war. At the end of 2023 Mediazona reported that “on December 5, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow remanded A.E. Veryanov in custody on treason charges (Article 275 of the Criminal Code),” but the journalists were unable to find out the name of the arrested man.
