Details: In September 2022, the Russian Ministry of Justice declared Medvedev a “foreign agent.” In February 2025, a report was drawn up against the political scientist for participating in the work of an “undesirable organization” (Article 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), Current Time reports.

Sergey Medvedev is a candidate of historical sciences, until 2020 he was a professor at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow. He currently teaches at the Charles University in Prague.
